Well Made, Excellent Quality
I bought two bamboo steamers--first the Norpro one, and then this one. Side by side, the difference in quality is apparent. The Typhoon one is lovely--all natural materials, very cleanly and precisely put together, with study pieces of bamboo (as opposed to the thin strips that almost all other steamers have) forming the base of each steamer section. The bamboo sides are smooth and sturdy.
The Norpro, by contrast, is rougher, has copper wire fastening the layers of bamboo that comprise the sides together, and is a bit sloppily made. It is not awful, just noticeably not as well made as the Typhoon product.
I'd say the Norpro one is average quality, and is fine if you are just going to use a bamboo steamer once in awhile. If you expect to use your steamer often or plan to keep it for a long time (or just prefer to buy good quality items), the Typhoon is really, I think, a very good choice. I have looked at other brands since, but have not seem one as nice (and, I gave away my Norpro).
